3. Install the a ir duct and switch assem bly into position,
making sure that the duct flange is fu lly in stalled in
the ro o f c o v e r retaining flange.
NOTE:
Be ca refu l not to damage the retaining
flan ges when rein sta llin g the duct.

4. Install the knob onto the switch shaft.
5. Connect the b attery ground cable.
INTERMEDIATE DUCT (Fig. 4 9 )
Replacement
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Rem ove the dome lamp lens and bulb.
3. Rem ove the sealing strips at each end of the duct.
4. Squeeze the sides of the duct togeth er and rem ove the
duct fro m its retaining flanges.
5. Rem ove the dome lamp screw s and rem ove the duct
from the veh icle.
6. To
in stall,
re v e r s e
carefu l not to damage the retaining flanges when
rein stallin g the duct.
REAR DUCT (Fig. 4 9 )
This duct c o v e rs the b lo w er-eva p ora tor assem bly and
connects to the interm ediate duct.
Replacement
1. Rem ove the sealing strip at the forw ard edge o f the
duct.
2. Rem ove the ro o f panel trim strip.
3. Rem ove the fiv e screw s securing the re a r duct.
4. Rem ove the duct from the retaining flan ges at the
re a r, side and front reta in ers (in that o rd e r).
5. P r y the fe rru le s out o f the drain tubes and disconnect
the drain tubes fro m the re a r duct.
6. R em ove the duct assem bly.
7. T o install, re v e rs e "R e m o v a l" Steps 1-6.
