4.5.1 Programming the Transducer Parameters (cont.)
4.
For Clamp-On transducers only, the following three additional parameters
are required:
a.
WEDGE ANGLE:
for all Standard transducers, but it must be edited with the correct
value provided by GE for Other transducers.
b. WEDGE SOUND SPEED: This parameter is entered automatically by
the PT900 for all Standard transducers, but it must be edited with the
correct value provided by GE for Other transducers.
c.
WEDGE TEMPERATURE:
all transducers. It should be the average of the ambient temperature
and the process temperature.

4.5.2 Setting the Reynolds Correction Factor

The REYNOLDS CORRECTION FACTOR can be set to either On or Off (see Figure 75
on page 66). This factor corrects the fluid velocity measured across a diametrical
path so that it more accurately represents the average fluid velocity across the entire
cross-sectional area of the pipe. The REYNOLDS CORRECTION FACTOR should be
turned On for all clamp-on measurements.
