Connector Pin Assignments

You can connect the 3C359B NIC to a network through the
NIC's DB-9 connector or RJ-45 connector. Pin assignments for
both connector types are shown in the following sections.
DB-9 Connector Pin Assignments
You can use the 3C359B NIC's DB-9 connector to connect
to shielded twisted-pair (STP) cabling (Type 1 or 6). The
DB-9 connector pin assignments are shown in Figure 25.

RJ-45 Connector Pin Assignments
You can use the 3C359B NIC's RJ-45 connector to connect to
unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cabling (Category 3, 4, or 5).
