7. General

Observe the safety instructions in

Place the machine on level and firm

ground when performing all the
operations described.

7.2 Installing the mono handlebar

(MB 448 TC)
Insert the sleeve (I) in the bore
on the handlebar (1).
Fit the two washers (K) with the convex

Hold the sleeve (I) and washers (K) and

insert together with the handlebar (1)

into the holder on the handlebar

Insert the screw (J) from the outside

console (2) and screw on the nut (L).
Tighten the screw (J) to 20-25 Nm.

Installing the cables:
Route the motorstop cable (3) and self-
propulsion cable (4) into the cable
guides (5) of the strain relief moulding
as shown.
7.3 Installing the dual handlebar
(MB 443, MB 443 T, MB 448 T,
MB 448 TX)
Fit the protective sleeves (H) onto the
two lower handlebars (1).
Insert the screw (F) through the bore in
the cable guide (G).
Fit the upper handlebar (2) onto the
lower handlebar sections (1).
MB 443, MB 443 T, MB 448 T,
MB 448 TX:
Attach the cable guide (G) to
the motorstop cable (3) and insert the
screw (F) through the bore from the
inside outwards.

MB 443 T, MB 448 T, MB 448 TX:
Attach the cable guide (G) to the self-
propulsion cable (4) and insert the
screw (F) through the bore from the
inside outwards.
Screw the quick clamping devices (E)
onto the screws (F) (the screws should
project by about one screw thread turn)
and fold upwards.
Check correct assembly:
The quick-clamping devices (E) must
be sufficiently tightened so that they are
pressed tightly against the handlebar
and the upper handlebar is firmly
connected to the lower handlebar.
If the handlebar is not firmly installed or
the quick-clamping devices are not
correctly located, open the quick-
clamping devices and turn them until
they are securely fastened.
