Section 4 - Configuration
WAN Failover allows the device to switch to another WAN or Internet
connection in the event that the primary connection becomes unavailable.
Enable:
Toggle to enable WAN Failover.
Basic connection:
Select your primary internet connection from the drop-down menu.
Backup
Select the backup connection from the drop-down menu
connection:
Test host (IP):
Specify a test host IP address the router will use to determine the
status of the connection. The default setting is 8.8.8.8, which is Google
DNS.
Check interval:
Specify the frequency to check your connection in seconds. The
default setting is 10 seconds.
Timeout check:
Specify the amount of time in seconds the device will wait before
considering a ping to have timed out.
Number of
Specify the number of consecutive failures before switching to the
inspections of
backup connection.
active connection:
Number of
Specify the number of consecutive successes before switching to the
inspection
primary connection.
of inactive
connection:
Click Apply when you are done.
