Kit Instructions
1. Remove top freezer door hinge cover.
A. Raise rear of hinge cover about 6.35 mm
B. Slide cover toward front and remove from hinge.
2. Remove top freezer door hinge by loosening three (3)
hex-head screws. Save the screws for replacing the
hinge.
A. Lift hinge up and away from door.
To avoid risk of personal or property damage, use two
(2) people to remove each door. One person holds the
door in place while the other removes the strapping
(safety) tape. Do not allow doors to drop to the floor.
3. Remove freezer door.
A. Remove strapping tape.
B. Open door approximately 90° .Lift door up and away
from freezer.
4. Remove center hinge-pin.
A. Use hex-head nutdriver to loosen screws.
B. Release center hinge-pin by pulling it straight up
with holding refrigerator door closed. Plastic
spacer should remain with center hinge-pin.
C. Center hinge-bracket must remain attached to
refrigerator.
5. Remove refrigerator door.
A. Remove strapping tape.
B. As door is opened, tilt top edge out and lift door
upward.
C. Bottom hinge bracket, hinge-pin and plastic
spacer(s) must remain attached to refrigerator.
D. Bottom hinge-pin and plastic spacer(s) are loose
and may pull away from bracket, remaining in
door socket as door is lifted. Return hinge pin
and spacer(s) to bracket by placing hinge-pin in
outermost hex hole of bracket. Slide spacer
over top of pin.
6. Remove refrigerator and freezer door handles.
A. Using a taped small flat-blade screwdriver, lift
rear of screw caps on both doors.
