EWB 212 • Installation Guide
Overview
The Extron EWB 212 is an EU two-gang external wall box that
provides complete compatibility in fit and finish with Extron EU
devices and assists with cable management. The diagram to the
right shows a typical application.
This guide provides basic instructions for installation by an
experienced installer.

Mounting the EWB 212
The EWB 212 can be mounted directly to the wall or to an EU junction box. Use the
mounting holes shown in the diagram below.

Knockout Covers
The EWB 212 is often used with a surface raceway (not provided). The wall box has gaps in
the top, bottom, and both sides to accommodate a raceway from any direction. The back
of the EWB 212 has four covers that can be used to fill gaps that are not used (see the
diagrams to the right).
1.
Use small wire cutters to cut the plastic attaching the knockout cover to the wall box.
2.
Ensure the knockout cover is in the correct orientation and slide it into place.
NOTE:
The larger knockout covers (for the top and bottom) have smaller
knockouts nested inside for running a small raceway to the top or bottom of
the wall box.
Grounding
Holes are available for M3 and #6 grounding hex screws and nuts (see the diagram above).
The screws and nuts are not provided.
