FUJITSU PSWITCH
designed to hold more than 4 years without power supply. Therefore, if the switch
is usually under operation, the possibility of running out of the battery power rarely
happens.
You can check the current battery status by the show environment command. If
the value of 'Battery Status' field is 'GOOD', the battery status is normal. If there is
some problem on the battery, the field value becomes 'NG'. Even when the status is
'NG', it may indicate the battery level become lower, and the battery may still has
the capability to hold the system time.
The lower battery power or missing battery can also checked by POST. The result is
also reflected on the system LED, and it blinks yellow. Additionally, these events
are checked very one hour, and if error is detected, the event is reported with SNMP
trap, and recorded in the system log.
