Tip Shroud Replacement

Tip shrouds can become torn or damaged over time. This can have
a negative impact on the surface finish and detail of models.
Damaged Shroud
1. Enter Head Maintenance.
A. From Idle, press Maintenance.
B. Press Next. The head will come to rest in the center of the
chamber and the Z Platform will change position. Choose
Head Maintenance.
2. Position the blade of the putty knife supplied with Start-Up Kit
between the Tip Shroud and Tip Shield
3. Pry off the Tip Shroud.
To pry off the old
shroud, insert
blade of putty knife
between shroud
and shield.

The head area is very hot!! Use leather
gloves when working in this area of
printer!
