echo - Echo Characters Received from Serial
Port
echo:
Serial Port function
Syntax:
echo [bool]<CR>
You use echo when a terminal emulation program is run
Purpose:
on the Macintosh while connected to the GPIB-MAC and
you wish to echo what you type on the screen.
Remarks:
If the argument boo1 is 1, characters received from the
serial port are echoed back to the serial port If the
argument boo1 is 0, characters are not echoed. If the
argument boo1 is 1 and echoing was previously
disabled, characters will not be echoed until this
command has been completely processed, i.e., the m
programming message will be echoed
If you call echo without an argument, the GPIB-MAC
returns the current setting.
Examples:
Note: The following examples show commands as you would
enter them at a terminal.
1. echo l&R>
2. ECHO O<CR>
3. echo&R>
response: OcCRxLF> (character echo is disabled)
