Replacing the Element
1. Remove the basket hanger and probe clamps
(see steps 1 through 3 in "Replacing the Probe"
on page 28).
NOTE: If replacing the left element of the
SE14 tank, remove the hi-limit
clamps (see step 1 in "Replacing the
Hi-Limit" on page 30).
2. Remove the five (5) element bolts using a 7/16
inch socket.

3. Push down on the front of the element, and pull
out the back to expose the element supply wires.
4. Disconnect the element supply wires.
NOTE: Do not let the wires fall back through
the element mounting block.
5. Remove the element.
