G - Option Knob

The option knob can be rotated or pressed to trigger
system actions. By default, pressing the knob will
trigger the display (C ) to show a menu, which can be
further navigated by rotating the knob and pressing to
select. The options available in the menu will depend on
the profile. The chart shown here shows the menu tree.
Not all branches are universally available. Source
branch and Gain are both universally available, but the
Mode branch is only available to source types that
support stereo. The Backfeed branch is only available to
sources that produce mix-minus. The source profile can
define some of the menu items to be filtered, not
populating to the end user and thus limiting their
control.
There is an option to define quick access control to
some of the controls available through the menu tree
(see above). Instead of navigating through menus, the
knob can be assigned a quick access ("Live Controls").
For example, you can adjust the Gain option by rotating
the knob without pressing it first. This allows for quick
access to items that are often adjusted and avoiding
delays due to menu selection.
