Connecting the speakers

NOTICE
Risk of damage!
– Do not connect the device to the mains
yet.
Use the highest quality of speaker cords possible with
a cross-section of at least 1.5 mm
speakers. You can order this type of cables in our
webshop (www.teufelaudio.com) in the "Accessories"
area.
The connector terminals (10) for the five speakers are
located on the back side of the receiver:

Surround right
Surround left
Center
Front right
Front left
Here you can connect the speaker cables directly or
using pin plugs. Only a direct connection is described
here.
The terminals are each marked red (+) and black (-).
Make sure the polarity is correct!
– Connect the like coloured terminals. Otherwise, the
sound quality will suffer.
– The strands of the speaker single wire are marked
with different colours or shapes.
1. Split the speaker cables down to approx. 30 mm on
both ends.
2. Remove approx. 10 mm of the insulation on each
end.
3. Twist the single wire so that no strands are protrud-
ing.

4. Turn the connector terminal (10) counterclockwise
until loose.
5. Run the stripped cable end into the now visible
hole.
6. Close the terminal by turning it counter-clockwise.
The cable has now been clamped in place.
Subwoofer
You can connect an active subwoofer to the SUB OUT
(19) jack with an RCA cable.

If you use a cordless subwoofer, activate the connec-
tion in the "Wireless" menu (see page 25).

Pre Out

You can set the function of the analogue output AUX
OUT / RC PRE OUT (20) in the "Speaker settings"
menu (see "Channel configuration" on page 22):
• In 7.1 mode, the rear channels are played.
• In 5.1 mode, the stereo channels are played.

You can connect a power amplifier or active speaker,
but also a radio transmission system to these jacks.
You will need a stereo cable with RCA plugs to do so.
