Pneumatic Cylinder Adjustment (Prior to January 19, 2009) NOTE: If chair rises by itself, sinks with an occupant or does not raise or lower when seat height lever is lifted, the cylinder adjustment screw may not be in the correct adjustment. Adjustable Seat Depth Slide seat fully forward while holding the seat slide lever.

Place the seat to its lowest position (if the chair self-rises, turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise until the chair does not rise). ADJUSTMENT Slowly turn the adjustment screw clockwise SCREW until the chair begins to self-rise. Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise one and a quarter (1-1/4) turns.

BASE Task Chair Pneumatic Cylinder Replacement Adjust chair to maximum seat height if possible. PNEUMATIC CYLINDER Turn chair upside down or set on its side. Remove the base from the PNEUMATIC pneumatic cylinder by hitting the CYLINDER pneumatic cylinder on the bottom with a hammer or mallet while pulling down firmly on the base.

BASE NOTE: For chairs built before January 19, 2009 follow the steps below. For chairs built after January 19, 2009 go to page 7 - step 6. CYLINDER Insert the pneumatic cylinder into the SPACER chair control housing (6a) and tap the pneumatic cylinder firmly with a rubber mallet (6b).

BASE PNEUMATIC HANDLE BRACKET For chairs built after January 19, 2009: CYLINDER BUTTON Insert the pneumatic cylinder into the chair control housing so that cylinder button (6a) lines up with the pneumatic handle bracket (6b). Tap the pneumatic cylinder firmly with a rubber mallet (6c). Replace the base by inserting the base onto the bottom of the pneumatic cylinder (7a), then tap the base firmly with a rubber...

Stool Pneumatic Cylinder Replacement Adjust chair to maximum seat height. Turn chair upside down or set on its side. Remove the base clip and base from the chair. Using a pipe wrench on the exposed column, twist the column free from the chair control. NOTE: For chairs built before January 19, 2009 follow the steps below.

PNEUMATIC HANDLE BRACKET For chairs built after January 19, 2009: CYLINDER BUTTON Insert the pneumatic cylinder into the chair control housing so that cylinder button (5a) lines up with the pneumatic handle bracket (5b). Tap the pneumatic cylinder firmly with a rubber mallet (5c). Dab grease on the inside of the hub liner.
