The needle jet works in combination with the jet needle to meter the fuel flow in the mid range.
Changes to the needle jet should be made only if the results of changing the jet needle position are
unsatisfactory. In stock applications, except for specific calibration changes necessary at high
altitudes, the needle jet should not be changed. Selection of the proper needle jet requires much
care and experience. Decreasing the needle jet size can prevent the main jet from metering the
proper amount of fuel at wide open throttle.
