Use this handy troubleshooting guide if you
have any problems with your printer:

Check the data cable and the Plug 'N Print
control module connections. Make sure both
your printer and computer are switched on.

Your printer is out of paper or ribbon. Replen­
ish the supply and press the SELECT switch
when ready to continue.

The printhead has overheated. Do not shut off
power— the printer will automatically resume
full speed when it cools.

The printhead needs cleaning. Follow the
steps in "Cleaning U p" on page 46.

The printhead needs to be replaced. Use the
enclosed order form to order a new printhead,
then replace it following the directions on
page 47.

Carefully remove the ribbon cartridge from
the printer. Turn the thumbdial (located on
the left side of the cartridge) counter-clock­
wise to take up the slack. Before reinserting,
make sure the ribbon is not twisted.
