If the backrest is adjusted to reach an open angle
(tilted backward), the wheelchair becomes less stable
against tipping back; in such case it is suggested the
use of anti tipper (see chapter 7.3 "Anti tipper").
Always check the wheelchair's stability with the
presence of an attendant.

Footplate distance adjustment

This adjustment serves to vary the distance of the footrest from
the seat to enable the correct sitting position of the user based on
the height of the user and his/her leg length.
Remove bolts and nuts "A" and corresponding nuts and
washers (3 mm Allen key and an 8 mm spanner).
Slide the footrest support tube up or down to the desired
position.
Replace the bolts and nuts in the nearest available holes and
tighten firmly.

The YOGA model can be provided with five different kind of
footplate: double footplate (fig. 56-57); one piece flip-up plastic
footplate (fig. 58) also available with multi function rotative
system; one piece plastic footplate with automatic closure (fig.
59); one piece flip-up carbon fibre footplate (fig. 61) and. one
piece flip-up aluminium footplate (fig. 62).
According to the user's need any of the above footplates can be
asked for. Differently from the one piece footplate with automatic
closure, the flip-up footplates and the double footplate allow the
user to lean his/her feet on the ground more easily, especially
when making a transfer.
The one piece footplates are more rigid than the double and they
are recommended for those user who has frequent spasm or
exercise a lot of force on the footplate.
Double footplate
To
widening apart when driving the
wheelchair, the double footplate
is integrated with a stretched calf

In order to avoid hitting objects which could cause
the wheelchair to tip over, we recommend that the
minimum distance between the base of the footrests
and the ground should not be less than 2cm.
After the adjustment, tighten all bolts properly.
