18.Stitch length balance basic setting

Check 1
The feed dog should after turning the machine on and off several times always reach such a position that 2.5
mm straight stitching will be obtained.
Check 2
1. Go to the service program.
2. Inset a needle and lay fabrics (dual layers) under the presser foot.
3. In service program menu 1 press key No 8.
4. The feed dog shall NOT move the fabrics when the foot control is pressed (0-feeding).
5. In service program menu 1 Press key No 7. The gap between the segment (C) and the calibration stop (B)
should now be Zero (0 mm).
6. If it is feeding check so setting "19. Stitch length balance" is in balance before any adjustment is done.
Adjustment
1. The adjustment can only be done with the feeding step motor unit removed from the machine.
2. Remove all covers, the base and the feeding step motor unit.
3. Put the base with the power supply in front of the machine and connect it.
4. Take the front cover and connected it. Lay it on top of the casting.
5. Loosen setscrew (A).
6. Go to the service program and in menu 1 Press Key No 7.
7. Push the black cog segment (C) against the tap (B).
8. Tighten the setscrew (A).
9. In service program menu 1 Press key No 6 repeatedly to check so the step motor always returns to the
same point.
10. If OK mount the Feeding Unit in the machine.
If not reset.
