Functions of the service menu 2 - Display and Sensor

To come to Functions Menu 2.
1. Get into the service program of the machine by pressing the Minus stitch lengths and Mirror side to side keys
while the machine is turned on.
2. Press button "Menu Maneuvering - Left".
3. The display will now show the Sapphire service menu 2.
Select the number keys and the selected function is displayed in the display.
Key No 1
Display test. The Display shall change between 4 different patterns, 1. Black 2. white 3. Squared 4 Squared
and after the check is done the machine will go back to Service menu 2.
Key No 2
Is used to set the default display contrast of the machine.
To change the contrast use the Stitch width + and - buttons on the foil key board.
The interval shall be -10 to +10 in steps of 1 and the value is shown in the contrast icon.
Key No 3
Check that the synchronizer sensor works.
It controls when the step motors have to be reset, it reads the speed and the stop right functions.
The Key is correct if numbers 0-31 are shown in the stitch number of the display, while the hand wheel is
turned around slowly.
Key No 4 (Only 870)
Check of the bobbin thread sensor, check thread cut sensor and you can test each sequence of the thread
cutter.
Key No 5
Check of the bobbin winding sensor. If moving the bobbin winding between it's 2 different positions on or
off, a square is shown in the right side of the display should change between black and white, the function is
correct.
Key No 6
Check of the presser foot servo sensor.
Presser foot position indicates at what position the sensor is at the moment.
Presser foot 1 and 2 indicates if the Functions is correct
If it changes in-between the 2 different positions ("up= on" and "down= off "), while moving the presser
bar up and down.
Key No 7
Check of the button hole sensor. The button hole sensor must be connected.
When the red wheel on the button hole sensor is turned it should be 1 to 10 squares, if the function is cor-
rect.
Key No 8
Check of the Foot control Sensor located inside the foot control
Push on the foot control and it should increase from min to max.
Key No 9
Clear service settings
Removes all individual settings that is put in the service program
Key No 0
Clear User settings and removes all individual settings the customer has set in the "Set Menu".
