Push the power cord retainer onto the power cord.

Insert the power cord plug into the power source outlet.

WARNING:
Ensure that the power cord does not block access to router components or drape where people could
trip over it.
Repeat steps 4 through 6 for each power supply that you are connection to power.

If the AC power source outlet has a power switch, set it to the on

NOTE:
The PTX10002-60C powers on as soon as power is provided to the power supply. There is no power switch
on the router.
Verify that the AC LEDs for each power supply are lit green and on steadily.

If the status LED is lit amber, remove power from the power supply, and replace the power supply (see Maintaining the
PTX10002-60C Power Supplies in the PTX10002-60C Packet Transport Router Hardware Guide).
CAUTION:
Do not remove the power supply until you have a replacement power supply ready: the power supplies
must be installed in the PTX10002-60C to ensure proper airflow.
CAUTION:
Replace a failed power supply with a new power supply within 30 seconds of removal to prevent
overheating of the chassis.
