y Used to select the vertical deflection fa c to r in a 1-2-5
sequence. To ob tain a calibrated deflection factor, the
V O LT S /D IV variable con tro l m ust be in the calibrated
(CAL) de tent (fully clockw ise).
I X — Indicates the deflection fa c to r selected when us­
ing either a 1X probe o r a coaxial cable.
10X PROBE— Indicates the deflection fa c to r selected
when using a 10X probe.

VO LTS/DIV Variable Controls— W hen rotate d coun-
terclo ckw ise o u t o f the ir calibrated de tent positions,
these co n tro ls provide
uncalibrated deflection fa c to rs betw een the calibrated
settings o f the V O LT S /D IV sw itches.
M IJ POSITION Controls— Used to vertically position the
display on the crt. When the SEC/DIV switch is set to
X-Y, the Channel 2 POSITION control moves the dis­
play vertically (Y-axis), and the Horizontal POSITION
control moves the display horizontally (X-axis).
