2.4.3 Precautions for Using Oil Seal Servo Motors

This section defines the operating conditions for using the oil seal servo motor:
1.
In the operating environment, the oil level must be lower than the oil seal lip.
2.
The oil seal cannot be submerged in the liquid; it can only withstand splashes of oil.
3.
Oil is not allowed to soak in the oil seal lip.
4.
The oil seal cannot be lower than the oil level, otherwise the oil will enter the servo
motor and cause damage.
2-6
Do not use servo motors with oil seals in the vertical
direction.
When wiring, you need to install an oil trap to prevent
vapor from entering the motor.
When installing the servo motor in a machine (such as
in a gearbox), it must comply with the precaution
measures in Section 2.4.5 to prevent oil and gas from
entering the servo motor.
If you are using a servo motor with oil seal, please refer to
the precaution measures in Section 2.4.5 for preventing oil /
water from entering the servo motor.
