Troubleshooting Problems

See also the documentation received with your print head or ink supply unit.
Check all cable connections before carrying out the following.
Contact a qualified service technician if the following does not help.
General Printout Problems
This table shows the faults which are detected at the print target after printout.
Problem
No printout.
Poor printout quality
Possible Cause
Printing stopped at control
unit.
Printout not being activated.
Special message [Blank]
selected for printout.
Control unit set to skip
printout activations
(triggers).
Control unit set to receive
printout activation via serial
interface.
Multiple mark limit reached.
Mark length setting too low.
No pulses from speed
encoder.
No ink / pressure.
Distance between print
head and print target too
great.
Ink bottle filter clogged.
Incorrect printout setting
(especially dot size).
Low ink pressure.

Remedy
Press
so that the lamp
lights green instead of red.
Check that printout activator
is clean. Check position of
activator.
Select another message for
printout.

Check speed encoder
