7 . Lead the connecting cable in a loop upward into the electronics compartment. Fasten the new
cable similar to the old one with the cable fastener and the cable straps (loop) to the appropriate
places.
8. Connect cable to terminal X10 (level switch) or terminal X13 (safety switch) on the control
board.
9. Assemble the unit in reverse order of steps 1 to 3 and put it into in operation.

Replacing the level switch/safety switch on the PH28/PH28A

Required components
Level switch PH28/PH28A (Art.-No.: 2571368, for units produced after March 1, 2013)
Level switch PH28/PH28A (Art.-No.: 2571369, for units produced before March 1, 2013)
Safety switch PH28 (Art.-No.: 2560897)
Safety switch PH28A (Art.-No.: 2560924)
Replacement
1. Set the PH28/PH28A out of operation and disconnect it from the mains (unplug mains cable).
On units PH28A additionally close the water supply and, if necessary, disconnect the supply line
from the connection of the unit.
2. Remove water carrier/blanking cover.
3. Remove the three air outlet grills. Then, undo the two Phillips screws of the cover of the electronic
compartment and carefully flap the cover upwards.
Attention! The electronic components on the control board are very susceptible to electrostatic
discharges. For the protection of these components, measures must be taken for all work on the
control board to prevent damage caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD–protection).
