In order for the cable ends of the branches to have a defined
terminating resistance, you can activate or deactivate the
terminating resistance of a home station at the TFT display.
To activate it, go to the menu item "Widerstand" in the TFT
display menu and select the option "Yes".
In general, the terminating resistance must be activated at the
last home station of a cable line. This applies for both topol-
ogy types, i.e. "looping through" and "branching".
Simple rules, which are explained with examples, exist for the
configuration of the terminating resistance:
1. Rule: Always activate terminating resistance at
branch end.
The terminating resistance must be activated at the TFT
display for home stations located at the branch end.
