Option Description
[COM1], [COM2] Select a COM port for Out-of-Band Management Port. Microsoft
Windows Emergency Management Services (EMS) allows
remote management of a Windows Server OS through a serial
port.
[VT100], [VT100+], Determine the terminal type. VT-UTF8 is the preferred terminal
[VT-UTF8], [ANSI]
type for out-of-band management. The next best choice is
VT100+ and then VT100.
[9600], [19200], Select serial port transmission speed. The speed must be
[57600], [115200]
matched on the other side. Long or noisy lines may require
lower speeds.
[None], [Hardware Flow control can prevent data loss from buffer overflow. When
