Battery:

12V
Battery removal
Remove the battery from the negative
electrode.
Battery refitting
Connect the battery from the positive
electrode.
Note:
- Check the battery electrodes and cable
joints for cleanness, and if they are
corroded to be copper sulfate, loosen
and wipe off them. The cable joints
must not be removed when the engine
is running.
- In case that two cable joints are not
removed, do not charge the battery
with the external power.
- Avoid air vents of the battery being
blocked.
Battery inspection
Have it checked either at Dongfeng
Franchise Store or IKCO authorised
representatives regularly.
Charging
When the dim lamp lighting, hoarse horns
or powerless engine start occurs, the
battery must be removed for charging by
the charger.
Have the battery charged either at
Dongfeng Franchise Store or IKCO
authorised representatives.
In case of non-use for a long period
When the vehicle is not driven for more
than one month, the battery negative
electrode should be disconnected.
Charge the battery monthly, because no
charging for a long period will cause the
battery failure.
Note:
When the battery negative electrode
is connected again, the systems
such as clock, date, radio accessing
etc. should be set again.
BATTERY
WARNING
Never make the battery close to the fire or
sparks (avoiding explosion).
The battery contains dilute sulfuric acid
with strong corrosion, so pay attention
to protecting the exposed skin during
handling.
Once it contacts the skin, flush it with
plenty of water immediately, and go to the
nearest medical facility for examination
and treatment as soon as possible.
