Creating messages

SMS

You can also use your Pocket PC to create SMS text messages in exactly the same way as
a normal mobile phone. Each SMS can contain a maximum of 160 characters.

Creating and sending SMS

SMS
► Click on Start – Messaging.
► Click on the Inbox dropdown menu.
► Tap on the SMS Account.
Select New.
A window opens for writing the new SMS.
► Enter the SMS addressee and the desired text message.
► Select Send.
The SMS is sent.

Managing SMS on the SIM card
The SMS Manager allows you to display all of the messages stored on your SIM card,
transfer them to your Pocket PC or delete them from the SIM card.
► Select Start – Programs – SMS Manager.
The SMS manager is displayed together with the SMS saved on the SIM card.
► Select the desired SMS.
► Select Save – Save to Inbox to copy an SMS message into the Inbox on your Pocket PC.
► Select Save – Save all to Inbox to copy all SMS into the Inbox on your Pocket PC.
► To delete an SMS message from the SIM card select Delete – Delete From SIM.
► To delete all SMS messages from the SIM card select Delete – Delete All From SIM.
► Select OK to exit the SMS Manager.

MMS

MMS MMS
MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) messages are messages which can contain
multimedia objects like pictures, sound or video clips (3GP, MP4, AVI, WMV). You
can attach files with a maximum size of up to 300 kB.
You will need to configure your MMS application before you can send any MMS
messages, see "Configuring the MMS application", Page
Your telephone network provider will generally provide you with the
data for your MMS connection.
