CONNECTING POWER AND DEVICES
IMPORTANT
Make sure the computers you install SMART Learning Suite on meet the requirements in the
SMART Notebook software release

Setting connected computers' resolutions and refresh rates

Set any connected computers' video resolutions to 3840 × 2160 at 30 Hz. If a connected computer
can't support this resolution, consider 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz as an alternative.

Connecting external speakers

The display includes two 10 W speakers, which are designed to provide sound at the front of a
room. However, you might want to connect external active speakers if you need the display to
project sound across a larger space. Make sure any external speakers you connect meet the
following requirements:
Frequency response
Total Harmonic Distortion
(THD) at peak power
Signal to noise ratio
Sensitivity (1 W @ 1 m)
NOTE
The above requirements are for rooms up to 20' × 30' (6 m × 9 m). Consult an audio specialist for
requirements for larger rooms.
You can connect external speakers to the display using the stereo
3.5 mm connector (pictured). Alternatively, you can connect external
speakers directly to a room computer.
