Script and configuration

7.1

Overview

The script stored in the UNIGATE
via the serial interface (application) in the configuration mode.
7.2

The configuration mode

If the pin „ConfigMode" pulled to GND during the PowerUp or Reset, then the UNIGATE
starts in the configuration mode. In this mode it is possible to communicate with the IC without
processing the regular software. In this mode it is possible to change the UNIGATE
of the standard software or to write a new script in the UNIGATE
figuration mode by issuing a status message (it may take up to 1 minute), which might look as
follows:

Update the script

• The preferred option is to insert the UNIGATE
(Developer Board UNIGATE
„Write Script" under „File" or with the software ScriptProgramTool).
• On request the procedures, how to overwrite the included script can be disclosed by
Deutschmann Automation in order to automatically replace the script in an application.
•
It is also possible to change the Script via FTP see chapter 9.1.
Note:
After a change (download of a new configuration or a new Script) it takes
up to one minute until the IC has saved this change and will be ready for
operation.
7.4 Configuration of the UNIGATE
