In addition to the regular hardware, a special hardware version is available, which however, is only required for the generation of a script.
Communication can be split into seven layers, layer 1 to layer 7, in accordance with the ISO/OSI-model. The DEUTSCHMANN AUTOMATION LONWorks-Gateways convert all layers in accordance with the LONTalk-protocol. Layer 7 is forwarded transparently on the standard Gateways. How- ever, customized adaptations are also possible here (e. g. adaptations to existing profiles of the fieldbus systems).

A script is a sequence of commands, that are executed in that exact order. Because of the fact that also mechanisms are given that control the program flow in the script it is also possible to assemble more complex processes from these simple commands.

KG The use of the Protocol Developer The Protocol Developer is a tool for an easy generation of a script for our script Gateways. Its operation is exactly aimed at this use. After starting the program the script that was loaded the last time is loaded again, provided that it is not the first start.
