Dealing with Markers
The instrument provides output signals with a defined timing relationship to the output
sample stream. These signals are called markers.
There are up to 2 marker channels available:
The details of these markers are explained in the sections that follow.
Depending on the data format, the input files for waveforms provide marker information
directly related to the samples. This means that each sample has its own bit signaling
whether this sample is marked or not.
The M8195A marker logic uses an edge based concept and therefore the sample based
marker waveform is converted to an edge based marker waveform by the firmware of
the instrument.
