GENERAL INFORMATION

This section explains the steps to be taken in case of an emer-
gency situation while operating the machine.
6.2

EMERGENCY OPERATION

Operator Unable to Control Machine

IF THE PLATFORM OPERATOR IS PINNED, TRAPPED OR
UNABLE TO OPERATE OR CONTROL THE MACHINE, USE THE
FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS AS A GUIDELINE.
1. Other personnel should operate the machine from
ground controls only as required.
2. Only qualified personnel in the platform may use the
platform controls. DO NOT CONTINUE OPERATION IF
CONTROLS DO NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY.
3. Cranes, forklift trucks or other equipment can be used to
remove the platform occupant and stabilize motion of
the machine.

Platform Caught Overhead

If the platform becomes jammed or snagged in overhead struc-
tures or equipment, rescue the platform occupant prior to freeing
the machine.

Righting of Tipped Machine

Before righting a tipped machine, check machine for any damage
which may prevent it from setting properly on its base wheels
once in a vertical position, (i.e. base wheels damaged, base frame
distorted, etc.). Use a crane, forklift or other suitable lifting equip-
ment and carefully lift the machine to an upright position.
NOTICE
FOLLOWING ANY INCIDENT, THOROUGHLY INSPECT THE MACHINE
AND TEST ALL FUNCTIONS. DO NOT LIFT ABOVE 10 FEET (3 METERS)
UNTIL YOU ARE SURE THAT ALL DAMAGE HAS BEEN REPAIRED, IF
REQUIRED, AND THAT ALL CONTROLS ARE OPERATING CORRECTLY.
