After adjusting the column to the patient's height, fit the ear
rods along the patient's ear canals.
CAUTION
H. Ask the patient to swallow any saliva in his/her mouth and remain still with
his/her mouth closed until X-ray exposure is complete.
I. Click the READY button after the patient has been positioned. No X-ray will
be emitted at this point.
J. Proceed to section 7.3 Initiating X-ray Exposure.
7 Acquiring CEPH Images
E. Ask the patient to stand upright facing
the sensor.
Make sure that the patient's shoulders are
level and that his/her neck is relaxed.
F. Adjust the height of the unit to suit the
patient by pressing the column up/down
button or switch (optional).
G. The ear rods should fit properly along
the patient's ear canals. The patient's
Frankfurt Plane should be parallel to the
floor.
