CHAPTER 7: COMMANDS AND TARGETS
What to do: Wait for the lockout interval and try to authenticate again.
FIRMWARE LOCK
Message: "Unauthorized firmware attempt"
Latched target message: No.
Description of problem: A firmware upgrade operation was attempted while the lock relay setting was enabled.
What to do: Ask the Supervisor to unlock the relay and try again.
SETTING LOCK
Message: "Unauthorized setting write"
Latched target message: No.
Description of problem: A setting write was attempted while the lock relay setting was enabled.
What to do: Ask the Supervisor to unlock the settings and try again.
SERVER UNAVAILABLE
Message: "An attempt to contact the Radius server has failed"
Latched target message: No.
Description of problem: The RADIUS authentication server is unavailable.
What to do: Verify network connectivity and try again.
DOS PARTITION ALARM:
SELF-TEST ERROR
Description of problem: There is a problem with the Compact Flash memory in the CPU module.
How often the test is performed: On relay power-up and afterwards once every 24 hours.
What to do: Contact the factory.
PROTOTYPE FIRMWARE:
Self Test Error
Description of problem: Seen until the builds is tagged as being 'release candidate' or 'gold' builds.
What to do: Update firmware to either of these builds.
BKR RESTRIKE ELMENT:
MAXIMUM EXCEEDED
Description of problem: In version 7.41, if more breaker elements are enabled than the number of installed DSP
modules, the excess elements are not functional and can trigger self-test error "Module Failure 33." In release 7.42 and
later, the firmware does not allow enabling more breaker restrike elements than the number of installed DPS modules,
and upon attempt, the relay displays a minor self-test message as follows:
"BKR RESTRIKE ELMENT:
MAXIMUM EXCEEDED"
What to do: Upgrade to version 7.42 or later.
7.2.2.4 HardFiber major self-test messages
In addition to those provided by the standard UR-series devices, the UR devices implement HardFiber self-tests. These are
listed here. Any abnormal diagnostic condition indicated by the LEDs or the critical failure relay also results in a self-test
