9.8.3
Speedometer (CE)
The speedometer (1) is located at the top right corner of
the cab A pillar directly below the Load Stability Indicator.

a. Removal
1. Open the battery cover.
2. Disconnect the battery negative (-) cable at the
battery negative (-) terminal.
3. Remove the screws (2) holding the LSI and the
speedometer cover to the cab pillar.
4. Label and disconnect the wire connections at the
rear of the speedometer.
5. Unscrew the ring on the backside of the
speedometer and remove the unit.
Note: On the backside of the speedometer, there is a
four digit DIP Code (3). Each of the four digits must be
installed in the new speedometer in the same order.

b. Disassembly
DO NOT disassemble the speedometer. The
speedometer is not serviceable. Replace speedometer if
found to be defective.
c. Inspection and Replacement
Inspect the speedometer terminals for continuity.
Replace speedometer if continuity is not found.

d. Installation
1. Make sure the correct Dip Switch Positions (3) are
applied to the new speedometer.
2. Install the speedometer through the front of the LSI
and speedometer cover. Screw the ring on the
backside of the speedometer and tighten.
3. Connect the previously labeled wire connections at
the rear of the speedometer.
4. Install the screws (2) holding the LSI and the
speedometer to the cab pillar.
5. Connect the battery negative (-) cable at the battery
negative (-) terminal.
6. Close the battery cover.
