Configuring SIP and T.38

Configure SIP and T.38 with the parameters required by your IP network. SIP/T.38 is the default fax provider when
you select Fax Configuration.
1. Click Fax Configuration. SIP/T.38 is the default page.
2. Enter SIP and T.38 parameters as required by your network.
3. Click Save.

Restoring SIP and T.38 Factory Defaults

To restore the factory settings for Fax Provider, click Defaults. The fax provider resets to SIP/T.38. Note: the
factory defaults may not work with your network.

Description
SIP call setup messages are transmitted using UDP.
Enter the IP address of the SIP device that FaxFinder will communicate with when sending
faxes. It can be a SIP proxy, SIP Gateway or IP PBX.
Enter the SIP domain into the box, if required.
If your FF240-IP is behind a firewall and you want SIP traffic to appear to be from your
firewall IP address, enter your firewall's IP address here. This is common when the FF240-
IP is configured to communicate directly with an online SIP provider through a firewall or
when there is a firewall between your FF240-IP and your local IP PBX. If your SIP server/IP
PBX is on the same network as your FF240-IP, leave this setting blank.
Check this if the SIP proxy or the registrar requires authentication to communicate with
the FaxFinder.
If you checked Authorization Required, enter the required username.

etherFAX server address by default is
https://na.connect.etherfax.net.
etherFAX account number using format EFAX-0000-
0000.
Phone number assigned to your etherFAX account. This
phone number is used as the Caller ID number for every
outbound fax.
The Fax ID you want the device to send out.
etherFAX account username.
etherFAX account password.
Re-enter the password to verify.
