Create a Port-Based VLAN

A port-based VLAN configuration lets you assign ports on the switch to a VLAN. The number of VLANs is
limited to the number of ports on the switch. In a basic port-based VLAN configuration, ports with the same
VLAN ID are placed into the same VLAN. One port can be a member of multiple VLANs.
By default, all ports are members of VLAN 1.
To create a port-based VLAN:
1.
Open a web browser from a computer that is connected to the same network as the switch or to the
switch directly through an Ethernet cable.
2.
Enter the IP address that is assigned to the switch.
The login page displays.
3.
Enter the switch password.
The default password is password. The password is case-sensitive.
