Developer Unit
When replacing the developer unit, you
must fill the unit using the starter toner.
The starter toner bottle contains
magnetic carrier and toner.
Refer to the adjacent figure and perform
these steps:
Unlock the old developer unit by
pushing up on the two green
lock–down clamps.

Slide the developer unit out along
the plastic rails on either side of the
printer and pull it out of the printer.

Remove the new developer unit
from the foil package.

Hold the new developer unit with
the roller facing into the printer and
slide the unit along the plastic rails
on either side of the printer.

Lock the developer unit in place by
pushing the two green lock–down
clamps down until they click into
place.
6
Move the developer unit to verify
that it is locked.
