clearing paper jams
Skewed Paper
The fuser operates at extremely high
temperature. Avoid touching the fuser.
Refer to the adjacent figure and perform
these steps:
Raise the top of the printer by firmly
pressing the button on the left side
of the front panel.

Tear the paper at a perforation
between the OPC drum unit and the
fuser unit.

Open the rear cover of the fuser
unit by rotating it back and down.

Carefully pull the paper between the
fuser roller and the pressure roller
toward the rear cover of the fuser
unit.
Pull the jammed paper toward the rear
cover of the fuser unit only. Pulling the
paper back over the rollers may damage
the top of form sensor.
Be careful not to scratch or nick the
rollers when removing the jammed
paper.

Close the rear cover of the fuser
unit.
