Problem
Unit screen
is dark.
External keyboard is not
working.
The USB memory key is
not working.
The keyboard, mouse or
USB memory key no
longer seem to be
detected properly after
browsing the
Maintenance and
Recovery menu.

Cause
Unit's backlight is set
to minimum value.
Battery is discharged
and unit has shut
down.
External keyboard has
not been detected.
The USB memory key
has not been detected.
The file system used
on the memory key
may not be supported.
The supported file
systems are: FAT,
FAT32, and exFAT. The
NTFS file system is not
supported.
The maintenance
mode has been
enabled by mistake.
Solution
Modify brightness (see Adjusting
Brightness on page 41).
Charge the battery.
Connect the unit to an external
power supply using the AC
adapter/charger (or the car outlet
adapter).
Disconnect the keyboard, and
then connect it again.
Turn off the unit, connect the
keyboard, and turn on the unit.
Disconnect the memory key, and then
connect it again.
To avoid loosing data, proceed as
follows:
On a computer, connect the USB
memory key, and then back up
any important data that you want
to keep.
Format the USB memory key to
one of the supported file system
(FAT, FAT32,or exFAT).
The USB memory key should now be
detected properly.
Restart your unit.
