Installation of optional modules and PC
Optional modules (such as fieldbus adapters, I/O extension modules and pulse
encoder interfaces) are inserted into the optional module slot of the RMIO boards
(built in the RDCU drive control units) and secured with two
RMIO boards are described on page 35. See the appropriate optional module
manual for information on the cable connections.

Fibre optic links
DDCS fibre optic links are provided by RDCO modules (optionally installed on the
RDCU control units) for PC tools, master/follower link, NDIO, NTAC, NAIO, AIMA I/O
module adapter and fieldbus adapter modules of type Nxxx. See the RDCO User's
Manual [3AFE 64492209 (English)] for the connections. Observe colour coding
when installing fibre optic cables. Blue connectors go to blue terminals, and grey
connectors to grey terminals.
When installing multiple modules on the same channel, connect them in a ring.
