5.0 Technical Description

5.1 Power Control

Power control is a key factor that differentiates the EkoMini
bi-directional amplifiers. The power control features found in the EkoMini
on software algorithms that make this repeater well suited to a wide variety of signal
level environments.
Power control begins with the automatic software setup when the EkoMini
powered up. Minimum attenuation is automatically set (maximum gain setting). Then,
the unit constantly monitors the output power level at the donor port while increasing
attenuation (decreasing gain) until the user settable output power level (described
