The survey wheel of the Palm XT can operate in three different positions:
Standard Mode: Requires no special setup.
Cross Polarization Mode: Highlights non-metallic objects, such as PVC, and de-emphasizes metallic
objects like rebar and wire mesh.
Side Car Mode: Transitions the survey wheel to the side of the antenna and allows it to fit into smaller
spaces.
Transitioning between these modes only requires the user to reposition the survey wheel. There is nothing
in the software to change, so the user can freely transition between these modes in the same collection
area when necessary. Simply use the provided tool to loosen and re-tighten the screw(s) as needed.
