Section 8: Using the Palm XT

Palm XT is an optional accessory for your StructureScan Mini XT. It is a small form factor GPR antenna
that gives users unprecedented access in tightly spaced areas and enables easy overhead scanning. This
2300 MHz antenna can only be used on the handle attachment point. Please see Appendix D of this
document for assembly instructions.
Once the Palm XT is attached to the StructureScan Mini XT, you may power the unit on and use it as you
would normally. The menu options and modes (ScanEZ, ScanMax, Scan3D, DualScan) will remain the
same. Please refer to the appropriate section of the manual for specific information on each mode.
The Palm XT has all of the same controls as the normal XT handle. The trigger key is now the black
button on the front face of the Palm XT (opposite the black cable). Otherwise, you have access to the
same Up, Down, Left, Right, and Enter keys. You can also continue to operate the XT with the
touchscreen.
