Stator Coil Continuity Test; Voltage Regulator/Rectifier Test - Honda CX650C 1983 Shop Manual

BATTERYICHARGING SYSTEM
ALTERNATOR WIRE
STATOR COIL CONTINUITY TEST
Check the yellow lesds to the alternator stator for
continuity with each other. Replace the stator if
any yellow lead is not continuous with the others,
or i f any lead has continuity to ground. See Stator
Removal (Page 8-5).
VOLTAGE REGULATOR/
RECTIFIER TEST
Check the resistances between the leads with an
ohmmeter.
NOTE
The test results shown are for a positive
ground ohmmeter and the opposite results
will be obtained when a negative ground
ohmmeter is used.
NORMAL DIRECTION: CQNTINUITY REDIWH IPE
REDIWUITE YELLOW
REVERSE DIRECTION: NO CONTINUITY
