How to connect the water inlet

,
The water in the
washer-disinfector is NOT potable
water.
– The washer-disinfector must be
connected to the water supply in
accordance with local and national
regulations.
– High iron content can leave a rustfilm
on stainless steel
labware/instruments and the
machine itself.
When the chloride content in the
domestic water supply is above 100
mg/l, the risk of corrosion damage to
labware/instruments is greatly
increased.
– In certain regions (e.g., mountainous
areas) the water composition may
cause precipitates to form, requiring
the use of softened water in the
steam condensor.
– This machine may be connected to a
suitable supply without an extra
non-return valve if national
regulations permit.
– The minimum flow pressure for the
cold and hot water supply is 150 kPa
(22 psi), and 60 kPa (8.8 psi)
pressure for the DI water connection.
– The recommended flow pressure
for the cold and hot water supply is
0 250 kPa (37 psi), and 0 150 kPa
(22 psi) pressure for the DI water
connection in order to avoid
excessively long water intake times.

Water connection

– The maximum permissible static
water pressure is 1000 kPa
(145 psi).
– If the water pressure lies outside the
range of 150-1000 kPa (22-145 psi),
please contact Miele service for
advice.
– The machine is designed for
connection to cold water (blue
marking) and hot water (red marking)
up to 70°C max.
Connect the water intake hoses to
the cold and hot water shut-off
faucets. Connect the intake hose for
the steam condenser (without water
control system) to the cold water
shut-off faucet.
– If there is no hot water line, the red
marked hose must also be
connected to the cold water line. See
the next page for how to connect the
DI water line (H
– Water shut-off faucets with 3/4 inch
thread are to be provided on site.
They should be easily accessible,
because the water supply will need
to be turned off when not in use.
– The inlet hoses are approx. 1.7 m
long pressure hoses (DN 10) with
3/4 inch thread. Do NOT remove the
water inlet filters in the hose ends.
– Large area filters, supplied with the
machine, are to be installed in the
hose attached to the water supply
(see illustration in "Cleaning and
Care - Cleaning the water inlet
filters"). The large surface area filter
for DI water is made of stainless steel
and can be recognized by the matte
surface.
