The BM2-ASI module comprises the AS-I bus master for the CL200. It thus
provides the CL200 with the cost effective options of decentralized input /
output connection via AS-I.
AS-I utilizes a simple 2-wire cable in a tree structure to replace the traditio-
nal, elaborate parallel wiring of each individual input / output. Connecting in-
dividual inputs / outputs via a cable harness is therefore no longer required.
With the use of AS-I, an unscreened 2-wire cable is all that is needed to sup-
ply power and data to both signalling devices and actuators.
