Shelf and Card Connections

The following paragraphs describe cables, connectors, and pinouts for each Front Panel port or shelf
connector when the SC-IP is installed in GDC shelves and enclosures. Shelf/card connections are
the same for the SC-IP as an IP router or as a LAN-X device.
Always adhere to the installation guidelines, cited in the beginning of this chapter, and the
connection guidelines listed below:
Observe all ESD precautions during installation procedures. Be sure to wear a properly
grounded antistatic wrist strap.
Make all electrical connections through the back panel and front panel connectors provided.
