Antilock Brake System Warning
Light (If equipped)
This light should come on as you
turn on the ignition and it may
stay on for a few seconds. If it does
not, have it fixed.
If it stays on or comes on while you
are driving, there may be a
problem with this system.
If the regular brake warning light
isn't on, you still have brakes, but
you don't have antilock brakes.
. . . 36
CAUTION
Driving with any brake warning
light on can lead to an
accident. Have the brakes
checked immediately if any
brake warning light stays on.
Have the vehicle serviced as soon
as possible.
CAUTION
If the regular brake system
warning light is also on, the
vehicle does not have antilock
brakes and there is a problem
with the regular brakes. Pull off
the road and stop carefully.
Have the vehicle towed for
service.
CAUTION
Failure to keep the brakes in
proper working condition can
cause a collision resulting in
personal injuries and damage to
the vehicle or other property.
Any resulting damage would
not be covered by your
warranty.
See "Antilock Brake System" in
Section 3 for more information.
